The company

SANGIOVESE
The Sangiovese ("
the blood of Jupiter") is one of the most ancient and common grapes all over Italy (the area for its production cover the 11% of the total) especially in Tuscany.
It's used in hundreds wines, also of high-level as Chianti and Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Morellino di Scansano and many others.
We get information about this grape since the XVI century, when Giovan Vettorio Soderini, on his treaty "La coltivazione delle viti", spoke about this grape as «the Sangiocheto o Sangioveto is a very good vineyard for its regular production every year».

It's difficult to describe the wines obtain with this grapes, because it changes very a lot according to the production land, but it has few typical caracters as good tannins and high acidity.

The Sangiovese is now very popular also in the States, thanks to the wines "super tuscans".

CABERNET- SAUVIGNON
The Cabernet has french origins and the name
Sauvignon comes from the french word "wild" (sauvage).
In Italy there are many types but also pure as other vineyards.
It is possible to produce colorfull wines, rich of tannins and aromatic, suitable for great aging period; thanks to its great stucture, you may have long periods of maceration and agin in wood, to get a complex and fascinating bouquet.

It has a medium and jagged leave, medium bunch, rounded picks with a very dark and tick skin.

MERLOT
Original of the Gironda (southwest France), its name comes from the blackbird that like very much its berries.

Merlot is the inseparable friend of Cabernet Sauvignon; the grapes are perfectly combined: the first giving the wine its fruit flavour, the second a more aristocratic and longevity.
In Italy, the Merlot has found ideal environmental conditions in various regions since the late nineteenth century, with sometimes surprising results, thanks to its adaptability.

It has medium leaf, pentagonal; medium bunch and round blue-black skin berry.
It prefers hilly, fresh, with good moisture during the summer. The growing method is more suitable for the cordon or Guyot ensuring a smooth shading.

CANAIOLO
It 'a vine is particularly common in central Italy, used in the production of different DOC and DOCG wines. In particular it is used for softness in Chianti.

From the morphological point of view, the plant is characterized by a leaf not very large, dark and opaque, the cluster is not very large, round berries with squat form with blue skin and purplish.
