Who we are
The family Brandani settled in Antinora (small town situated on a lovely hill above the historic church of San Giusto in Salcio, few kilometers far from Radda in Chainti; the name "Antinora" means "place surrounded by water" as evidenced by the presence of two rivers flowing downstream embracing the hill) since 1234 as tenant of the Benedictine monks. In the sixteenth century the property passed Istituto degli Innocenti of Florence and was then purchased by Brandani for lease in 1836, starting date of a family tree.
Old landowners, they had houses with lands and huts in Galenda and Galendino.
The family, well known throughout the area, has always been an example of honesty, generosity and righteousness in the Christian faith: in the late nineteenth century Tommaso Brandani entered into a convent to become confessor of the "Novizi Francescani" at "La Verna" sanctuary with the name of "Father Callistus", while in the early twentieth century there were two nursing sisters in the family.
In the sixties, while many people left the countryside to the city for the agricultural crisis, the family remain anchored in the place, investing money and effort in the emerging new farming techniques and mechanization.
Today, the current owners, Luca & Laura (pictured below) continues this historical reality with determination taking as a fundamental objective: continue the line of tradition, innovating the professional technical side without forgetting the fundamental values of family and love for the land and culture.
Their sons, Francesco, Lorenzo and Cosimo represent the 31 generation of the family and will have the good fortune to live in an environment rich in suggestions and ideas and who knows .... maybe someone will inherit the same passion and satisfaction of growing your love for this land.
